Browning BLR

I somebody measure the hammer on their browning blr 81, I have a pre 81 and was wondering if the hammer extension for a 81 would fit on a pre 81. I can only find 81 or newer

Well I fibbed………slightly.
The BLR 81-91 hammer extensions will fit with some modification.

My BLR is 1976 and I used the 81-91 extension.
The slot needs to be filed wider and and a tad on the up and down.

I took a bit off both inner sides.
A small square file for the sxs and a points file for the u&d.

Bit of effort and shazzam.
