So I have been keeping an eye out for a magnum BPR for years, but havent seen one. I know they didnt sell many, just wondering if anyone here had actually ever bought one, and if do how they found the pump action over time. The angles seemed a little odd, but I only ever saw one.

I remember seeing them advertised in the LeBaron's catalogue way back when But other than that, nadda.
Not sure why it didn't sell other than perhaps the price.

Gun broker has a 270 and 300Win. You can always look at import one. That's likely your quickest way of putting one in the safe.

I have a couple of them. I like them just fine and they have never failed me. None in magnum calibers. One thing I did discover early on is the action does not like to be babied. Rack that action like you mean business or it can get finicky.

To the OP ..... Seems to me there was another company that made 1000s of pump rifles for over 70 years without many problems at all. They were said to be very accurate and reliable, but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of that company. I'm pretty sure a wee bit of Google-foo may turn up that intel.
A lot of us lads from the east like pumps over levers because cycling the gun is much more ergonomic.... and rather than see through rings, just put a dab of "White-Out" on the top of the scope bells, and you be cookin'...

Ive handled one in 3006. Very strange rifle.

Pump rifles are sure unpopular here on the prairies. I only know one guy who hunts with one. Stereotypical pump with an almost unusable old Tasco, mounted with those rings that tip the scope away if you want to use the irons. He always seems to get lucky with it too. Once myself and another got up and were out hunting before first light, hunted until mid morning when we heard a shot close to camp. Buddy who was hung over and overslept had seen a buck right in front of his camper while making coffee. Plugged it in his underwear with his old pump gun. Found his brass sitting on the lawn chair.
