Browning BPS 10 Recoil Pad Removal

Would anyone know the best way to remove a recoil pad that appears to be fastened without screws? There are absolutely no screw holes in the pad and it's on an older BPS 10. Thanks
 
There are holes look very closely at the pad there will be a small slit in the face of the pad at each screw position (2) when you find the slits lube your screw driver shaft with dish detergent and insert down through the pad to the screw head they should be Philips head screws .

This is an old BPS with a wood stock and I honestly see no holes.
 
They are there they will look like a small knife cut in the face of the pad .if you put pressure on the pad with your thumb at the screw locations it may help to find them .approx. a 1/2 to 3/4 inch in from the heal and toe of the stock .
 
My lord those were hidden well! Thanks so much. Any recommendations on a softer aftermarket pad? I was leaning toward a kick-eez but am open to any other precision fit pads.
 
Yes they are . kick eez is a quality pad and highly thought of by many shooters .only other one I can think of is the limb saver .
