Does anyone know if the BPS's in 20 gauge are built on a reciever scaled down for the 20 gauge or do they use the same reciever as the 12 guage but with a 20 guage barrel. I am looking to purchase a lightweight pump and have narrowed it dowm to the wignmaster or a BPS Hunter or Micro.

I have a 28 gauge Browning BPS.They are a nice shotgun but a bit on the heavy side. The 28 gauge BPS is built on the 20 gauge frame.

The BPS 20 bore is a scaled receiver. BUT it has a long receiver. Much longer than an Ithaca 37 or a Remington 870 in the same gauge. I found that I couldn't comfortably reach the pump handle. My hand would be positioned too far back and interfere with the ejection of empties on the back stroke. That's the curse of being built very wide with short arms.

they are smaller frame but still shot three inch shells the extra weight is not a bad thing for a smaller shotter it realy helps with recoil .
