Browning bt-99

i wouldn't think so, also depends how cheap you can purchase the 99 for.
the lever off center is a reference point, there are other things to watch out for.
i doubt the lever in the center would stop me from purchasing.

Without taking anything away from the BT-99 as it is really a nice shotgun, my only concern would be that you will quickly out grow it and eventually want something that holds more than 1rd. If you only ever plan to shoot trap and nothing else - then by all means go ahead, otherwise maybe consider an alternative.

Shot one at my local range and loved it !!! Very smooth but yes again an o/u is the way to go if you going to spend the money gwt something you can use for an all around gun for shorting doubles and such
