Browning buck mark .22lr pistol

I have a GSG and a Buckmark. The GSG is nowhere near the gun the Buckmark is.I lost count of how many bricks my Buckmark has gone through but it usually gets about a brick a week.Suffice it to say it has gotten a couple thousand rounds a month for the last year and a half.My only issue is that every 3-4 hundred rds I have to give the screw on the top rail a twist because it backs off. When I get a stovepipe I know the screw is loose.I regularly shoot a 8"x8" gong at 100yrds with it.Accuracy is great. The GSG is ok but it has given me fits trying to get some reliability out of it.I think I've got it pretty much cured but for quite awhile I was regretting buying it.It's a fun plinker now but if I want to hit the 100yrd gong I grab the buckmark.

^^^^^^what caperaway said about the top rail screws. They come just a bit lose and you'll get stovepipes. Keep them tight and its more reliable than most.

The bucKmark is a great platform to start with:D. Everyone that has tried it has had a good experience with it.

There is a solution that might help you. I used some threadlocker for the screws on the top rail. I found some purple threadlocker (being the weakest) at the auto parts store (Lordco). Works like a charm. and I can pretty much go for about 500 to 1000 rounds before I have to take it apart and clean the thing.

The buckmark is so good that I bought a second one so I can have one with a red dot and another with iron sights.

Cheers

Check if something is hitting an extracted casing on its way out. Mine started misbehaving when I installed a Walther red dot. The extracted casing hits the bottom of the mount on its way out. I have to replace the original red dot mount (NOT THE TOP RAIL) with aftermarket mount so I can clear the rear portion of the ejection port. Also, clean the breech face regularly and lube lightly. Check for extractor wear. You can remove extractor without disassembling the gun. Some shooters noticed a premature extractor wear, but not too many of them. Ammo is also a factor. Mine likes CCI Blazer, Fed 525 bulk, Win Wildcat, Win Super X.

I used the Range Trainer's Buckmark in my Member range training, many "clicks-nothing", misfires 1 out of 5. It was good for misfire safety training. My Relative has a Ruger Mark 111 and not as many "no goes", maybe 1 out of 30.
