I was walking through the gun aisle of our local CT today and spied one of these. It was an absolutely spur-of-the-moment purchase based mostly on looks and how it felt when I handled it. I suppose it's a little late now but did I do OK or should I learn to curb my impulses? ;)

I have had a Buck mark pistol for awhile and like it so I figured "why not?"

I have been looking to get one myself.
Can't decide on that one or the bull barel one. I really like the grey laminate on the bull barel one but like the contour barel on that one. Ah decisions decisions ....
What did pay if you mind telling.
Thanks

You won't be sorry, no buyer's remorse. Have had mine for a few years, topped it with a Weaver 3-9ao. Did quite a few gophers with it out to 80 yrds. Shooting glasses are a must, they spit back a bit. Never noticed with my Buckmark pistol but with the rifle the action open on both sides and proximity to the face makes it noticeable. Having extra mags is a bonus. They are a hoot to shoot, feels right.

Great purchase! Congrats! I've owned both the Sporter (currently still own) and the HB Target model. Both were great, but the compact size and light weight of the sporter make it an awesomely fun gun to have in the gopher patch. The fiber optic sights are so nice that I haven't even had a scope on it for quite a while now. It is just so light, handy and accurate.

you are going to love it, I am quite sure. My only beef with the gun is that you have to use your off hand to hit the mag release. because of the way the stock is attached to the pistol grip, you can't hit the mag release with your thumb and it becomes a two hand operation. You do get used to it so it's not a big deal.

The list is $739 and CT had them on for $685

Now I have to decide scope, red dot or just leave it with the open fibre optic sights.

I got the target model with 2-7 x32 Redfield on it and I'm loving it.
This one gun takes care of all my rim fire needs. Very light, well balanced and quite accurate.
