Browning Buck Mark

Search function will turn up heaps of threads. Put "buckmark report" or "buckmark range" in the keywords. And then here's the secret to making it work. The default time frame under "Search Options" is set for 1 week and newer. Just leave the 1 week option but select the "and older" and then do a search on all the forums. That should get you enough reading from range reports to satisfy you.

My first new handgun was a Buckmark in 1986. I still have it and it still works well. Just my preference but I prefer it over the Ruger 22's. I've never owned a Ruger but I have used plenty of them and I still prefer my Buckmark.

I have had 1 for a few years and love it. It is durable, and shoots when clean or dirty. In comparison with the rugers, I would still go for my buckmark. Quality made little gun and cheap to shoot.

Anyone have any feedback on this pistol?

Just to say I want one and the next one that shows up either on the EE or at the local shop will be coming home to me.

NAA.

Buckmarks are fun little handguns. They are pretty reliable once you break them in, and it is an easy way so rid yourself of brick after brick of .22 in a hurry!

Tip: get extra magazines. Ten rounds seems to go a lot faster in a .22 handgun then with a bigger caliber.

I bought a Buck Mark Camper with the fiber optic front sight last year and have been loving it. It is a great little .22; way more accurate than I am and, so far, it feed reliably on every ammo that I have fed it, including the el cheapo bulk ammo. Buy one and don't give it a second thought. I have never heard of an unsatisfied Buck Mark owner.

I got a whole bunch of extra mags. People buy them off of me 4 at a time. They get the clip loader and go through a brick of 22 in no time. I love my buckmark contour. It fits really well in my grip and super accurate, plus maint is a cinch.

Mine shoots ok, but is a pain in the ass to clean. you have to take the rear sight off to disassemble the gun. not cool. As well the spring in my mag is now a bit weak, and won't trip the slide release. and the base is silver soldered in, so you can't change the spring. Mags are hard to find, and are expensive. Honestly if I could trade it for a 6 inch Ruger Mk II, I probably would.

Really? Have you taken apart a Ruger for cleaning?

if brake down is an issue get a 1911 in .22LR then it's a snap. as for me I'm new to the Buckmark seen I got a mint Buckmark Field with the full rail. would really have liked the Buckmark contour better for the finger grips, but I did get a nice set of cocobolo grips on my unit, have yet to field strip it. Pics to come when my C-more sight comes going to use it for steel plates.

The Buckmark is a great little handgun. I had a choice between the Buckmark Camper and Ruger MkIII, and after handling both at the dealer, I chose the Buckmark. Why, you ask?? I'll be glad to tell you!!!!:p

It fit my hands and the grip angle was much, much better for me (much closer to a 1911 angle than the Ruger). It pointed naturally and, after reading threads here on CGN about Mark III disassembly (yikes!!), the ease of maintenance tipped my credit card in favor of the Buckmark.

The single downside of the Buckmark is that it comes with a single magazine, unlike the Ruger which has two in the box. That adds another $30 to the price of the Buckmark.

I had a chance to try out my new Buckmark UDX yesterday at the gun range and all I can say is what a fantastic pistol. I put 400 rounds through it without a single issue. Absolute delight and unbelievably accurate. Lots of fun!

My only regret is not bring another 1000 rounds with me. :D
