Browning Buckmark Broken Rear Sight Rail

I love my Buckmark Camper and was having a great day at the range yesterday until in the middle of a magazine the rear sight let go. There is so little recoil with a .22 I cannot figure out how this could have happened. Has anyone else heard of this kind of failure?

I will be on the phone to Browning in Quebec tomorrow AM to see if they can help. This is a 2011 model but has not had a lot of use.

I have the scope mount rail on mine, I was looking through my parts box and discovered the rear sight rail had broken in half.

Which model of BM? Rail that the sight mounts on looks much different than my URX slabside. Edit to post, see that it's a camper.

Looking around a bit it seems the Camper version is the budget model and has the polymer rail while the other models have an aluminum rail. Your hunter may have the metal part.
