Just wondering if this would be a good cheap red dot for mr new norinco m4, just range use. Also, how would i go about ensuring the red dot sight isn't blocked by the front post. I don't wanna remove it or anything, kinda like the way it looks with the front triangle intact

You do get what you pay for with optics. So just remember it may work but who knows for how long maybe 20years maybe 20 min.
and I learnedmy lesson with the cheapies. They don't always hold 0.

lol There seems to be 4 or 5 sights that everybody loves and thinks are the only things to go with. The Sparc, TRS-25, eotech, Lucid HD7. These others sights must work... i have been reading about the trs25 since posting this thread.

Well, my first recommendation would have been an Aimpoint of some sort (micro, pro, M3), EOTech or Hensoldt red dot, but seeing as you asked about an $88 sight, I didn't want to start off recommending something 5x the cost of the sight you were initially looking at. For the price point, the SPARC is IMO the best bang for your buck. The TRS 25 sights have a decent reputation, but can be hard to find and my experience with them is nil. Same for the Lucid, I've never used one so how can I recommend one? The Buckmark sight is really just designed for a .22lr, so although some people have used them with good results on a centerfire, I would recommend getting something that was designed for an AR type rifle.
