Browning Buckmark rifle

I love mine. Light, handy, reliable and pretty accurate. My Ruger 10/22 is gathering dust...

Confirmed.

I like how hand the rifle is. More ergo friendly than most, a LOP that fits many other people, and everyone wants to shoot it.

Accuracy on the whole is better than a 10/22. And I have owned a few. Savage, Lakefield, Remington, Ruger, and out of all of them, this is the only box stock semi auto that is accurate enough for me to justify keeping.

Don't get me wrong, it is NOT a hyper accurate gun like a bolt action. But accuracy is acceptable, and better than the 10/22's i used to own.

They have become somewhat pricey in recent years though. A 10/22 and aftermarket barrel is going to be competetive with it, and close in $$$

But out of the box, if you have the cash, go for it. Not many on them used on EE for a reason :)

Can't answer the small person question. Have a sporter model wearing a Weaver 3-9. Great shooting, handy carbine. Be aware that they do spit back, so glasses are a must have. Should wear them anyway.

Is the length of pull a problem for smaller people

No. as a matter of fact, I have had a few ladies 5-5'5" try mine and they all had no issues with cheek weld or operation.

Now my buddy who is 6'2 does have to scrunch a little... ok, more than a little. But he has a wingspan!!! One of the few who shoulders an AR15 at full extension who looks like he is in CQB mode.

I really like mine, it’s accurate, easy to carry and swings nicely, it’s my squirrel rifle.
They like a good clean once in a while. This means taking the scope off then the rail to get in at the slide
No big deal, jams will let you know when it’s time for this!

Amazing little range gun, did well on the grouse as well! My ONLY complaint is being a semi with a metal slide, it doesn’t like the low velocity or sub sonic rounds which I prefer for grouse. Besides that it’s super accurate and handles amazing. Favourite gun to pull out of the safe for a while. Have 2!

"Have 2!" I'm jealous!!! Are doing head shots with the sub sonics? I have had a few birds fly away after shooting them with a solid, I now use hollow points. They can make a bit of a mess, but, at least they stay put.

My Buck Mark carbines all love the CCI Subsonic HP loads... very accurate and do a great job on grouse and hare... I have chalked up a couple hundred grouse with mine over the past few years. I have another one on the way, going to set it up for steel challenge rimfire events with a Burris Fast Fire 3.

I ended up mounting a Vortex Sparc II for steel challenge on the Buck Mark Sporter carbine... very fast set-up.

Do you notice any spit back with the sub sonic?

I set up for steel challenge with Mini-Mag 36 grain HP's and did not experience any spit back at all.
