Anyone know of a fix for this. I've heard its a common problem. My gun has the "updated" firing pins and new springs. But still gets a very like strike every once and a while.
It's a 1996 special sporting citori.
Thanks

Reloads are the common problem with the back of the shell pushed in and the primer set too deep. Bottom barrel is the most common falure.

Is it reloads you are having a problem with?

Have the problem with everything, but factory federals are the worst it seems. It seems like a very lite strike, can put the same shell back in the same hole and it goes off just fine , like the pin is hanging up?

You will have to have a gunsmith see if he can alter the bottom pin to protrude a bit farther and possibly lengthen the rear of the pin...

Lower chamber?

Take some clp, or other cleaner / lubricant and put directly in the action at the firing pin port. Lower chambers tend to get more crud accumulation.

I used to have the same thing, and found that giving the action a good application whenever it happened would free it up again.
