browning citori special trap repairs

Hello im looking for a gunsmith that can repair or replace and fit, locking bolt and block .Would prefer someone in Ontario and anywhere in canada will do
Gun started to open on firing of top barrel and i thought i could feel something wrong when i fired bottom but could see anything Gun has seen alot off rounds tag is near center so better to have it done now then cause more damage.

No personal experience, but a friend stopped in here, and was impressed. Gave his trap gun a quick once over no charge. Happens to be the authorized service centre. ht tp://www.browning.com/customerservice/partsandservice/servicecenters/index.asp?bg=x

I sent mine to Reliable in Vancouver, had same problem, they replaced locking block, and it worked great after that.
I would think you would find smiths closer, but now at least you have another option.
 
Spoke with W R long yesterday they are checking if the have part in stock if so it will go there .If they don,t it would take 2 month to get it from browning they say.
Hogiron do you remember what it cost to have it repaired

They are a nightmare to deal with.
 
Spoke to Keith Long today Gun is on its way there will know more next week
Keith has been good to deal will so far expecting a 3 week turn around will let you all know how the experience works out

It's Browning Canada that is the nightmare!! If you have friends in the U.S then get them to order your parts from Browning Parts in MO and have them mail them to you. Browning USA cant ship to Canada but they usually have parts in stock. Browning Canada was going to be 1 year to get an original replacement Browning recoil pad for my Citori XT Gold Trap? My buddy in NH ordered it for me and had it in less than 1 week!!!

I do, the part was $75.00, and shipping and labor were $225.00. shipping was $60.00 total (both ways)
 
I tried to buy a new locking bolt from WGP several years ago for my superposed but the would not sell me the part as Browning lists them as for Gunsmith only. Nevermind that I had taken and passed a gunsmith course but since I dont have a gunsmith business licence, no dice.
I had our welder build up the surface and refit it myself.
 
Well spoke to keith gun should be back to me this week it was a little longer than three weeks but I guess the weather slowed down the test fire part a little ,block had to be adjusted and the release lever spring was broken.good for another 50K
