Yeah I know , I'm not a weaver fan and only use them if I have nothing else, but they came with the gun and for once I'm going to leave the iron sites alone so I figure I'll give the weavers a chance to prove themselves. I have a set of leupolds here if I need to swap them out.
I have used them on a Savage 99 and a Rem 700. Still have a set for the 700.
Don't let anyone tell you they don't work. They do work, and very well. I have actually shot a group with pivoting the scope between shots -- no significant change in group size!
If you want to really be impressed, shoot a group with them on top, and then shoot a group with them pivoted off top the side. You will be amazed!
Very nice rifle, Brambles.

Thanks for the feebback on the rings nice to hear they arn't just something cool and actually work. When you say shoot a group with them pivoted off the top, do you mean shoot a group through iron sights or shoot a group through the scope when the scope is laying on the side??? The POI has gotta change quite a bit???
Thanks again
I am speaking of shooting a group using the scope while it is rotated off to the left. Try it and post back here to let us know.
Again, You are going to be amazed!

Does anyone have some picture they can post of an original Browning Fn Mauser rifle concentrating on the stock and its finish, I have been thinking that the finish on the rifle isn't original, looks good but all the grain isn't 100%filled and from what I have seen of brownings the always have a 100% filled grain.
If indeed the finish on my rifle isn't the original then I'm going to refinish it and fill all the grain.
