Hi,

I am wondering if a used Browning Cynergy Feather Composite 12 ga 26inch barrel with a couple of extra chokes and recoil pad, its box and original accessories is worth 1900$ Canadian?
The owner is a sporting clays shooter and said he had 400 rounds through it only.

Do you think its a good deal?

Thanks

I wouldn't pay $1900 for that gun... even in mint condition... but for me, double guns and synthetic stocks are like oil & water.

Friend of mine picked up a cynergy feather wood here on the EE a couple months ago for $ 1600 shipped gun was like new in box . 1900 is on the high end for sure .

Thank you so much for your inputs, this is exactly the info I needed, if the price is on the high side or not :)

What will be the prime use or the gun ? have a look at P&D in the sponsor section at the top .they have a cynergy feather synthetic listed .also Browning dropped the price on the cynergy this year .I have seen old stock listed $ 300/400 more than this years model .

Thanks, I found they have one new for 2200$. I will need it for Grouse hunting and clay shooting. I have already a CZ Canvasback 12, very heavy for grouse and I have a Marocchi 12 Silver Snipe I think, great handling and does the job but thought selling both eventually to get back some $ in my pocket if I get an all use Browning. I like the composite because it is durable in the woods and I don;t mind the aesthetics of it at all... The wood version is great but would feel guilty scratching it.

Well I certainly won't pay the price of a new Cynergy feather composite as it will be way off my budget. But thought that a used well maintained one can be a good deal.

I would purchase a 625 or 725 Citori Feather before I would spend that on a Cynergy. I had a Cynergy Feather 28 gauge, and I replaced it with a 625 Feather.

Any specific thing you disliked in the model itself other than the look? The 625 and 725 are more expensive if I am not wrong. Didn`t cross any used model. I do not look for super light shotgun. I want a compromise between a shotgun for long walks in Grouse season and one that I can use for some clay shooting.

They are a very nice gun for the grouse woods .much to light to be any kind of a good clay target gun .

Well the composite make you feel less guilty in the woods yet the mechanism is reliable. But I agree, for hundreds of shells a day at a clay range is not idea. I won`t shoot that much

I actually have another option. A Franchi L 12 Ga, 1250$ negociable. I will see if this is an alternative. Although I prefer the composite for Grouse and the high tech look of the Cynergy

Buy the cynergy its a lot more gun for the money than instinct .this is just my opinion .

Yes I agree, I am more into the Cynergy. All I need is to find a good deal. I also had the CZ Upland Ultralight on my shopping list last winter. I could not find any good deal on one across Canada. It is about a dust over 1000$ with taxes. I thought that I have a heavy CZ it could be a good addition for upland.

I found the Cynergy awkward to assemble by comparison, and I didn't like the way the forearm attaches. Right now a local business has a new 625feather on sale for $2079..

Heard things about assembly being special compared to classic ones but the 2079$ is beyond my budget threshold. The 1900$ cynergy I asked about here I hesitated and otherwise I would aim no higher then 1500$ if I have to respect my budget. For this reason I found the Cynergy a possible option for the money I need to put. Other light weight Brownings are too expensive. And I don't want expensive wood to scratch in the wood :)

I just saw some videos on Youtube, assembly is a little different from traditional over / unders yet nothing too complicated. I just think I can't make my mind on another over / under, I am too convinced that the Cynergy is what I want to look at anything else :)
