Browning Double Auto Twentyweight

Hello all,

I am trying to date a Twentyweight, The S/N starts with a 2, I know that the 2 cannot stand for 1952 as this model did not start production in till 1957 from what I can find about it. If anyone could help me out that would be great!

Make sure you do not try and short stop when you take her out for a drive

I have checked both sites, I am thinking this one is falling in the 55-57 dead zone on the site. I want to try and put a year on it, as it will be going up for sale in the future.

From the info provided I will assume there is no letter to designate the receiver material . A - aluminum C - steel . if so yes it would be in the first years of production .

It has a A, I knew it was aluminum, in "Dragon Black" just wanted to know what year it was made.

So the serial number starts 2A????? this would be a 1962 aluminum receiver model double auto .
