I have just acquired a really nice Browning .22 pistol. It looks like a Challenger but doesn't actually say anything Challenger on the gun. According to Hoyle, it is a 1965.

Can someone shed any light on what model it actually is?

Thanks in advance for any info. :)

Probably a Nomad.....Possibly a Challenger. If no slide hold open and plastic grips..... It's a Nomad. Nice wood grips and slide hold open.......then it's a Challenger

Look at the serial number then go to to the Browning web site. A "M" is a medalist, A "C" is a Challenger and I can't recall what a Nomad is. All are nice pistols.

Sorry, I was wrong. I had a look again. The Medalist has a serial number with a "T" in it. The Nomad has, I think, a "P" in the number. I can't seem to find the website where I got the information. I know the year of production is also stamped.
