Browning has 3 models in 16ga guns for 2015

I snoop around gun shows and find 1oz or 1 1/8 oz no 5's the Saskatchewan sharptails can flush 40-50yds in mid season I like a little extra energy . Once in awhile I score some 1 1/4 oz 2's or 4's and use them on vermin

In about 1974 I purchased x 16ga model 12 and have been using one for upland ever since and back
In the day when you could shoot lead I shot many a duck and goose with 2's & 4's

I'm a fan of the 16g. Have 3 of them right now. A Citori Feather Lightning with 28" bbls, a JP Sauer sxs with 27.5" IC/Mod, and a beater AYA for the woodcock jungles. I have no problems stocking up on #6 and 7.5 shot and 1oz #8 makes a nice WC load too. Cabelas and Basspro usually have plenty of ammo. Sure a 20 will do what a 16 will but a 16 does it better ( and yes I also own and use the 20 ).
