I was underwhelmed by the kimber Adirondack. Compared side by side to a hunter or Montana (which I own one of each)it wasn’t with the extra money to me, since sold it. Handle all three in the kimber lineup. Because the actions are identical you can start with a lower model and upgrade it the next version down the road if a plastic stock is something you really don’t like or want a muzzle break. The fluting on the MA barrel is definitely more cosmetic than weight savings imo.
As the op is in Ontario. You could buy a used Montana 84l. Have a smith rebarrel it in a 6.5 (6.5-06, 6.5rpm, 6.5x55) and have a awesome province wide gun for just north of $2000
This is a very valid point. I’d take a used Montana with a benchmark over a new mountain ascent or Adirondack any day (I’ve done both!)
