As proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks, our Custom Shop embarked on a journey to see if we can give the classic Browning Hi-Power a much needed update. We took a Girsan MC-35 BHP clone and created a modern take on the legendary Browning Hi Power design. First we performed an optic cut to mount the Trijicon integrated RMR footprint plate with built in rear sight. Next we took our popular Patrol slide package and tailored it to the BHP. This slide milling package has lightning pockets and forward serrations to reduce the reciprocating mass of the slide and to give the user more options for slide manipulation. Lastly, we designed a dust cover rail mount that can attach the most popular pistol weapon lights on the market. A modernization to a classic that can hopefully last another 87 years. If you have a BHP that would like a timely update contact us today!

The Optic cut is $210.

The Trijicon 1911 RMR plate system with integrated night sight set is $310. (https://shop.blackboxcustoms.com/products/trijicon-1911-rmr-mount-w-integrated-night-sight-set?_pos=1&_sid=2c9689787&_ss=r)

The Patrol package includes the lightening pockets and front serrations is $320.

The Frame Rail System with insert is $200.

Cerakote of the slide after milling is $150 for any single colour.

Trigger tuning is $70.

How did you manage to put a rail on a gun that doesn’t come with it? Thats pretty sweet and I’ll probably send mine off to you guys for some work like that when I get it.

Can you please answer a few more questions?

1. What is required nowadays to ship the pistol to you? Do I need a specific Short-Term Authorization To Transport?

2. How is the slide prepared for the CeraKote? Specifically, are they grit-blasted or bead blasted before paint?

3. Does the Trigger Tuning include removal of the Magazine Disconnect? Will you work on pistols with the Magazine Disconnect removed? What kind of Trigger pull weight can I expect?

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration!

Very nice to see public pricing. Gives me an idea if I can actually afford getting something done without wasting your guy's time.

1) If you're sending the frame for us to do work on, the answer is yes you need an ATT.

2) We low PSI grit blast and do acetone bake cycling to purge particulates and oils from the metal pores prior to Cerakote application.

3) Are you referring to the Magazine safety feature on the BHP? If so, then yes we can remove that feature and that would be separate from the tuning service. Pull weight is dependent each individual pistol being worked on.

We designed a low profile rail insert and milling that profile into the dust cover and installing it. Since there isn't much material to work with we decided to go with the insert instead to deliver the rail feature.
