Doubtful
This BHP is marked
'FN BROWNING'
Additionally there is a 'T' stamped on the slide
and
a 'P' stamped on the frame
all numbers match
Thats it

Note The External Extractor.....
I was thinking perhaps a FN made BHP for Argentina?

slide, barrel & frame so marked
very interesting...

However according to that site FN Browning Hi-Power (made Hi Powers to Lithuania only between 1934 and 1938). Mine has the external extractor and thus is post war. Also none of the serial numbers match the Lithuanian pistols

By the way the slide does not have the conventional Belgian script
ie:
FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE
HERSTAL BELGIQUE

My Pistol simply displays
FN BROWNING
Nothing Else

Lithuanian FN Hi-Power Serial Numbers:

299 3206
414 4874
1341 4949
1374 4957
1435 5595
2202 5629
2367 5843
2486 6070
2681 6273
3139 6437 1953

I FOUND IT.
Hi Power is a Argentine FM made 1973 pattern Hi Power. These were made after the 1982 Falklands/Malvinas conflict for export sales. FM was still under FN licence at the time HOWEVER I understand FN didn't find their marking methods amusing. These FM came out after the Falklands conflict most were military and police contracts to other South American countries.

There we have it. A BHP made by FM but no FM markings on it anywhere (done by design).

I FOUND ANOTHER PISTOL LIKE MINE (although this BHP appears to have seen its share of neglect & abuse)

Some better pics of my pistol. Obviously has had a little work done to her including a park job, ambi-safety (which I don't like) and the pachmayr grips (which I also do not like).

You're right, it's too ugly to keep: better sell it to me. Cheap! :D

Not sure if you guys have heard yet but the Argentinians are starting to talk about annexing the Falklands again.

More on HERE in the Articles section.

Yes Steve
I think YOU need a Browning Hi Power. Since the wife and I had a bouncing baby boy 3 weeks ago everything is for sale for the right price. PM me if interested in opening a dialogue.

Congrats on the baby!
