Browning Hi Power home finally

if your ever down round waterloo drop a line and you can shoot mine at the Colby range ;)

This thread inspired me to finally install the no bite hammer onto mine. While i was in there i also dropped in the new sear that comes with it, and replaced the mainspring with the lighter one Cylinder and Slide provide...then said what the heck and pulled the mag disconnect out as well....trigger is much nicer....now i have to wait for another burst of enthusiasm; there's lots of room to stone engagement depth on the sear, that will help take a bit of the creep out....I forgot how much i love shooting my HP, especially when it's not taking a bite out of me each shot :)

Thanks for the offer!

"...believe to be the only flaw..." Silly Europeans wouldn't make 'em without it. JM didn't have one in his original design. Nice of them to make it easy to remove. Still prefer my .45 to my Inglis. Less muzzle blast.

NP, if i have it your welcome to shoot it. Let me know what you'd like to try, odds are i have something close if not exact, the selection is pretty good ;)

Wasn't that a request from the French, who required it in a police side arm? Too bad the feature wasn't dropped once they decided not to adopt the gun.

Yes french, but for military not police. if you look at the french M 35 it has a striking similarity, just scaled down 10% for the useless round it was chambered in. The hammer module was a neat idea though. The french commissioned the high power, looked it over, turned it down. Then had their arsenal take the design and rework it a bit

Had one, sold it. Not looking back, but that's just me.
I'm finding CZ 75/85 line of pistols more accurate, easier to shoot and more ergonomic.
Especially CZ 85 Combat.
Since they stopped making the BHP with the forged frame, the cracking frames are no longer a problem, yet by today's standards it's still quite fragile pistol.
Other than that, nice trigger job and You good to go.
Congratulations on your new BHP.
