Browning Hi Power parts

I would change the extractor and extractor spring.
Also, change the recoil spring since who knows how many rounds it's had thru it.

I'm not a bitter one fart but I suppose I could have made my point clearer. I don't particularly see the Inglis as a 'collector's item.' Sentimental value in the case of the OP perhaps but if I had it, I personally rather have a properly functioning pistol and perhaps some modifications that maintain the spirit of the pistol than a completely original pistol that doesn't perform well.

"not a collector's item" LOL..now that's funny right there, considering a good shape Inglis would bring at least twice the money a regular Hi-Power would,i've had 6 of these Inglis, all excellent to mint, and all sold for twice the price of any commercial Hi-Power,NONE of my Inglis ever had any issues,

People are interested in collecting things for a variety of reasons. Good for you that you liked collecting and selling your Inglis pistols. I don't share the same interest or least not in preserving the authenticity of original parts in the context of the OP's pistol. As the OP has a pistol he would like to keep for sentimental reasons, if I were in the same situation I wouldn't have a problem modifying it or changing parts if it makes it function better with no worry about devaluing it as a collector's item because I don't see it as such.

Some people want a Diemaco/Colt Canada upper complete with plastic furniture and Elcan C79 optic too. Different strokes for different folks. You do you, I'll do me. So what am I bitter about?

Failure to eject it is. Star from the small parts:

If your hi power is internal extractor, you can take it out and bend it towards the left side a lil but and see how it runs. If it is external extractor, go numrich website and buy a new extractor and extractor spring.

If the issue still exists, buy a new ejector blade from numrich and see how it goes.

If still no good, get a new recoil spring, magazine spring and magazine follower. Or try a new magazine.

This should eliminate the issue.

If all have been tried and still no luck, vulcan gun refinishing got old gunsmiths still working on old military HP, I'm sure they'll be glad to help you out.

Make sure to use factory ammo to test the function, the gun like ball rounds, hollow points can cause feeding issues :)
