Browning - Inglis 9mm info wanted

"Judging by the number of "lunch-box" BHP's I've seen 3300+km from Long Branch, I'd say it might be higher than that.
It's easy to figure out how it was done; the guys doing the stealing were the guys in charge of security...or not subject to security." - Lee Enfield

Security in those days was opening your lunch box, not a cavity search - after all people weren't as paranoid then as they are now about guns.

Very nice!

Interesting thread, I don't own any Inglis hi-powers at the moment, but am considering getting one as my next collectible pistol :) as well as a new Mk. III

Could someone please share some photo's of faked decals and faked/re-done finishes for comparison? If anyone has any...

I have one of the Inglis Chinese contract ones with a serial # that saw it leave Canada and head into British hands after the Chinese contact was canceled. I did a mountain of research on these to figure out when mine was made, why, for who, etc. I'll dig them up and post them later.
