Did Browning manufacture a Mark II in .22 at one point? Can anyone help, I have checked the FRT and couldn't see it.

sale

a guy has one for sale I haven't gone and looked at it yet but he says it is a browning mark III and it is a .22. Never heard of one, has anyone else?

Ruger made/makes a MKIII in .22lr...... Browning never did.... Brownings .22lr pistols are called Buckmark.

Either way both are really good guns and if you can get one for around $250 to $350, depending on the shape it is in and the extras ie: extra mags & mag loader, I would not hesitate.

Bear in mind that a new Buckmark is in the $450+ range, and a new MKIII is in the $450+ range as well, Mags are about $30 new and a mag loader is $30 new as well.

Its worth a look by all means.

Cheers!

that is what I thought

I hadn't heard of a browning mark III either, just wanted to check in here to see if someone had ever come across something like that. Thanks for the confirmations.

P&S has one for $325 http://psmilitaria.50megs.com/modpistol.html

challenger III

It has the flat sided bull barrel and I purchased it along with the highway patrolman .357. Can't wait.
