Browning Maxus

Well I handled a Browning Maxus today for the first time. I must say it is a very nice gun. Felt much nicer than the Gold or Silver. It was a 3.5 inch gun. Shouldered wonderfully and was quite slim. It has shims and a very nice feature set. Not sure about the $1439 price tag though I would definitely consider this gun if I were in the market. I know many are waiting to see one, you won't be disappointed, but they are expensive. Cheers,

where? everyone that has them listed in there catalogues say late 2009 (decemberish) or early 2010. i might even consider selling one of my golds to fund the maxus.

I'm interested in these as well, and while they may not be cheap they're still cheaper than any semiauto Benelli, especially the SBEs.

These look very promising. Which barrel length do you recommend? I'm new to the shotgun scene but will likely use it for ducks and geese and if I'm lucky a pheasant or turkey. I won't have a blind...

Well, for an all around gun I would recommend a 26" barrel. It's long enough to swing properly but easier to get around in the woods. I find the 28" barrels on any semi auto or pump to be way too long. Cheers,

Shot a Maxus all last weekend at a skeet shoot. Very nice gun, really comfortable, light and smooth. Still shot better with the SX3 though!

Just picked up one of these last week in camo 3.5inch. looks great, fun to disassemble. Going to put a few hundred rounds though it tomorrow and compare to my friend’s SX3 which has been a delight to shot this past summer. If it is comparable to the SX3 I would be happy.

We have one in the shop in camo. It seems like a good gun, but like almost all Browning firearms, it leaves me cold.

The Winchester SX3 right next to it is more appealing IMO, and a couple hundred less dollars too.
