Browning Medalist question

That would make sense. In any event, two very nice guns!
 
The blue shows 1962 med T2, 1966 would be T6 etc.
callengers same , but U, and the nomad is a P ,, from 1959 to up to 1974
1969-T69, 1970- T70 etc
 
Coldshot, check the serial number on the Challenger, I checked the forums a bit, and apparently Browning modified some Challenger frames to turn them into Medialists. They apparently added a letter "S" to the serial number. You might have one of those. That would mean that the dry-fire mechanism would work on that pistol as well, but that system is so fussy that I would not try to move the lever without being absolutely certain that the frame has been modified to the Medalist standard.

In any event, great pistols both of them.

Unfortunately my Challenger doesn't have the dry fire mechanism, a feature that is handy for practice. No its in mint condition by any means, and you can tell its been to the range a few times in its fifty years, but still a sweet shooter.
 
When I was trying to get some info on my Medalist I was having a lot of trouble trying to relate to the numbers on the Browning site (serial#) and finally had to send an email to inquire. The format that the serial numbers have on the site doesn't match what the format of the serial numbers stamped on the fire arm.
Browning is usually quite good about answering and giving the information it just takes a while.
