Browning Medallion 375 H&H

I'm haveing an accuracy problem wit a Browning Medallion in 375 H&H. I've tried several loads, all close to maximum, with several different brands and weights of bullets. (finally bought a lead sled for the recoil)
Before I drop to lighter loads, has anyone here tried the lower velocity loads in this cartridge? If so, how do they perform accuray wise?

If lighter loads don't work, I guess it's time for a bedding job or maybe switch out the scope. bearhunter

Depending on the weight and length of the bullet you are using they might not be stabilizing. My old Browning Safari does not like some long 300 gr bullets or max loads with them. On the other hand,bullets like the 270 gr. Hornady and 260 Nosler Partition group like a dream and have proven to be more than adequate for anything I've hunted.

I personally seen the bedding pop out of the recoil lug inleting on two Browning A-Bolts. I would check there 1st and that the bbl is free floating.

Those A-Bolt 375s are HARD to shoot. Is flinching the problem? It would be for me if I had to shoot one of those beasts.

My Brno does not like light bullets. The best pointy one is a 260 Accubond. the very best groups are with 75gr IMR 4350 300 gr RN hornady interlocks .050" COAL longer than SAAMI spec. My rifle may have a longer leade than yours. For the record 220 gr Hornadys were hard to keep on paper and 300 Hornady Spitzers group twice as big as the RN.

I've definitely noticed a preference for round nose bullets. Recoil isn't a problem, only because I bought and used a "lead sled", no felt recoil at all.

I will mention at this time that this rifle has hooped the internals on two Burris scopes so far, just a hint at the vicous recoil. Thank goodness it's not mine.

Maybe try work up a load starting at minimum? Aim for accuracy, not top velocity? Chronograph your loads and check standard deviation, always a good indication of potential accuracy.

.375 H&h

I'm having a go around with my Brno .375 H&H it's blowing the primers out at 74 Grns and i can't open the bolt with out a great deal of effort, Scary and my body is sore as well. I'm using 270 Grn TSX Flat base bullets and RL 15 powder with the bullets seated 15 thou of the lands. I'm going to get some new brass and start all over form the min load and work my way up also going to seat the bullets at 50 thou like Barnes say's to.
