Ive been looking for a while for a Hornet rifle and was hoping one of you might have some insight that would be helpfull to me.I have looked at a ruger at my LGS and I have a CZ 452 rimfire so I am familiar with CZ although I have never fired their 527 Hornet.I would like to know of any first hand info on Brownings
22 Hornet .Any help would be great.Thanks.

The magazine on the Browning is a pain to load and like all Abolts its over engineered
but not in a good way.And I had to free float the barrel.
The mag does allow for seating the bullet out a ways and the trigger isn't bad after you
clip a coil or two. Mine shoots pretty good and its left handed ,so I'll be keeping it.

It' not that its hard to load the mag but that you can't do it while the mag is in the gun.
You'll need to drop the floorplate and insert the cartriges (not handy)
or drop the floorplate remove refill and re attach the mag to the floorplate
(not fast).
If I were right handed i would get the CZ,If i was sensible I'd have got a sporter weight
.223 and loaded it light.
But I have wanted a hornet since I was 11.

I shoot left handed but have always used a right handed bolt gun.
Palm swells and cheek pieces are a pain.it is hard to find a goo d ambidextrous stock. The CZ 527 American works both ways exept for the bolt.
I am 53 and have also wanted a hornet for a long time lol.
