New Browning Micro 7mm-08 for the boy, went to sight in shooting from a rest at 100yds. On paper but very inconsistant groupings, shooting Hornady Superformance 139gr. Anyone have any experience with this gun or the ammo brand? Taking out any flinch or mechanics, maybe the gun doesnt like the ammo? Looking to pick up some different boxes and try them out.

Bought the same rifle for my daughter last winter. Got it home and noticed the forend of the stock was placing slight pressure on one side of the barrell. Dissassembled and sanded out that side of the barrell channel a little bit and resealed before firing a shot. You might want to check there as any barrel contact will cause changes in bullet placement going from a cold to warmer barrel.

Groups were fair with the 140 grain Accubonds I handloaded.

I have had terrible experiences with Superformance ammo. It has not shot well at all in 3 different rifles. I won't be buying it anymore,

I tried Superformance powder for my 243. I find that it is a very fussy powder. One of the few powders that I have consistently trickle feed. Am still working up loads, but so far, my groupings 70 and 90 gr noslers are ho-hum at best.

Interesting, i am always a little surprised when supposed high quality ammo like this just doesn't perform. After couple boxes and around $60 think a guy could get a refund for the non-superformance! When I get home from work I will be checking the barrel/stock fitting as well. Thanks.

I have a Micro Medallion in 7mm-08 and I use the old Hornady Light Magnum ammo, very deadly accurate! Oldest son has the same rifle in 243 and uses the same ammo, with the same results. I hope our supply will last for a while!
