browning mod 92 questions

how hard is it to find a browning mod 92? were they ever made by browning in 44-40?

i have heard that you cannot fire 44 spec in the mod 92 browning, is this true?

I would think anything that shoots 44 mag should shoot 44 spl??

I have seen them for sale but I think the hard one to find might be the 357.

They were .357 or .44 Mag.

Never heard of one in .44-40 unless it was a custom.

Not sure about .44 Spl in the .44 Mag version but the one I had in .357 Mag would hang up if you were shooting .38 Spls out of it and you were not careful to give the lever a complete throw when ejecting the fired casing and chambering a new one.

If you were in a cowboy action match and it jammed you were out of that session as it was impossible to get the jammed .38 casing out without tools.

You likely can shoot .44 Spls out of the .44 Mag version but I woud hazzard to guess at the same peril as .38's out of the .357 Mag version.

That's to bad to hear about the 38spl's that's what I was thinking I really wanted maybe another brand but I like the 92 look......hmmmmm.....what to do???

Puma makes a 92 replica in 357, I think.

I've had them and I like the model 92's it's my favorite rifle
I was thinking of 38spls something I reload and are really cheap(and fun)?
