I have a browning model 1886 that I would like to drill and tap for a lyman 66 peep sight...what I need to know is where the sight is to be positioned on the receiver...(I won't be doing this one myself...it will be going to a gunsmith)
I am not sure what the model 66 sight looks like but the traditional sight would be mounted on the tang. A peep sight mounted on the receiver might force you to use a very high front sight.
