Browning Model 71 348 Winchester - value?

Having participated in several gun shows over the years I have say that prices of Browning 71s and original Winchesters going out the doors are unbelieveable.I do concur that a gun show is not necessarily the best place to get a deal, but $ 2000 + for a Browning is a bit much, sort of like $ 3500 + for an original 71.... but they do sell.

Right you are. It also seems that with each show, the numbers available are rapidly diminishing so I would expect to see prices continue to escalate. ;)We may have acquired ours at the right time:).

See everyone at the Chilliwack show in March... lol...:D

There's also Naniamo on Feb. 19th and Duncan, Mar. 4th. At a previous show in Duncan is where I acquired my 71:D.

Meh.... is it even worth the drive to Nanaimo? :p

Pardon my deviating somewhat from the topic at hand of 71's, but in answer to your question, yes :). The following two pictures show the positive result on my attendance at the last show. A SS Ruger Blackhawk convertable, 45LC/45ACP.

Worth the drive;), hell yes:).

UPDATE:
The show today wasn't bad but it ended up a dry run for me. Didn't see anything I couldn't live without so my 'mad money' account is still in tact. While that was somewhat of a rare experience for me, I think it actually shocked my wife:p. ;)I'll try and do better in Duncan March 4th.

Johnn.... if the Duncan show doesn't loosen the purse strings then there is always Chilliwack Mar. 10 / 11 and Kamloops Apr. 21 / 22.
We have a table at both and they are big shows... :D

Both of those shows are on my agenda and one day......... . Admittedly, the only show I've attended on the mainland and interior is the one in Penticton while visiting relatives there.

There's a distinct possibility a variation of the P 35 Browning HP, 9mm I've been looking for may come 'available' shortly. If so, that will definately loosen the purse strings:p. Nonetheless, I still hope to get to those shows, one day soon.
