I have a browning model 81 with a failure to fire problem ,seems like the firing pin strikes are not hard enough to activate the primer .I have read some info on this rifle and anyone familiar with the model 81 knows its unlike most others as it is assembled with pins and as a complicated gear mechanism in it lever action and a rotating gear type bolt head similar to the ross rifle.
What im wondering is could the problem be that it simply needs to be disassembled and cleaned, or could the firing pin be broken.I have never disassembled one of these before and was wondering is there anyone out there with knowledge about the model 81 browning that could maybe give me a few pointers as to how to procede
