after being away from shooting for a few years, and regrettably selling my guns, I decided to get back into it again.
The question now is, Ruger 22/45 or Browning Buckmark? Thought of High Standard but price new is way out there for the amount of time I will be shooting it.
Anybody have any suggestions as to which one and why?
thanks

Honda vs Toyota, Ford vs Chevy. Honestly, there are dozens of threads all asking the same question - just search. There is no wrong answer. Handle as many different ones as you can. Try both if you can borrow someone else's at a range, and get the one you like better. Buckmark trigger is better out of the box, but I liked the feel, balance and construction of the 22/45 in the 4.5" barrel better, especially with the Hogue grip I put on it.

I'd go for the Brownings over the Ruger only because it's a little easier to clean they both shoot well and are reliable.
The new High Standards have not won any awards and are not close to the quality of the older guns IMHO

I had the opportunity to try a browning buckmark and a ruger mark 3 at the range this weekend. I was very impressed with both firearms however I preferred the mark 3. I also found the trigger on the browning fairly heavy. I'm not sure how the mark 3 compares to the 22/45 though. I myself do not have any semi auto pistols yet. I just have revolvers.
