Browning SA-22 takedown scope & mounting

I need to mount a scope on a little takedown Browning semi. Do I need the Browning base or is there a economical weaver available? What scope is good for it and is there any here on CGN for sale or trade?

Weaver does make a base for it... but it's not the prettiest thing.

I'd spend the extra $ and get the Leupold/Redfield/Burris mount (Not about the new ones, but the older model where steel) or the new Browning (alu)
