I'm contemplating scoping my new (to me) Browning SA-22 rifle. The barrel is drilled and tapped for a cantilever scope base (have it) but the rear sight is in the way.
Seems that it is just pressed into a dovetail and no fasteners are visible. Do I knock it out with a dowel? A brass punch?
What's the safest method?
The barrel (actually the whole gun) is pristine... I really, really do not want to screw it up.
Help!
