I have a used SA22. A great little gun except it fails to eject on a fairly regular basis. I have taken it apart, cleaned and lubed it. I have tried various types of ammo with none seemingly better than the other. I am wondering if anyone has any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it.

The extractor needs to have two prongs on it, and needs to slide freely in it's slot on the bolt face. Prongs must be parallel too.

If it is broken or worn, a new one is under $30. IIRC, I paid about $20 for one a few years back.
See Figure 14, page 11 of the download. Index number 22 on the exploded diagram, and they suggest that a gunsmith would not be required to change it.

The extractor is easily damaged when the bolt is not retracted while twisting the barrel when taking it down into it's two main pieces.

Cheers
