Browning Scope/ Zeiss Manufacture

It seems to me that I once heard that Zeiss made the early Browning scopes. I am speaking of the 1960s vintage. Can anyone confirm this as true?

The more I think about this the more I think the early Weatherby scopes were made by Zeiss.

Zeiss did not manufacture scopes for Weatherby.
