I've seen Browning scopes around the last few years, but can't find scopes on the website. Are they out of the scope biz?
I'm also curious who built the scopes....they're pretty generic looking. I have a chance to buy one and just wondered what people know about them. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Believe they were mfg by Bushnell with the Browning name/logo on them. IIRC, the Bushnell equivalent scopes are a little less expensive & still in production.

Kilo Charlie,
The short answer is that a Browning is a Bushnell without the Rainguard, but Bushnell no longer has that contract/ association. It gets a little more complicated than that, since Bushnell doesn't make it's own scopes either. Therefore a Browning is like you say a "generic" scope, that shares many design features with Bushnell . It could be built by Light Optical though that is unlikely anymore, Asian Optical or outsourced to just about any bumf**k Pacific Rim mom and pop wanna-be scope assembler. The same goes for Bushnell.
