Gents,
Can anyone tell me the difference between the silver and gold autoloaders from browning (Other than the semi humpback styling on the silver and the magazine cut-off on the gold only?).

Anyone own a Silver and can post some opinions/reviews of this particular gun...particularly ease of cleaning, etc?

Thanks,

I am considering buying a Silver and selling my gold....
Why? The Silver simply fits me better. The silver is alos a 3.5" and synthetic, my gold is wood/blued and 3" only. I believe the 3.5" gold is heavier than the silver.
The gold has a "speed loading' Feature that I love and the silver does not, but I still want a silver.

Bill,
I am currently considering spending the big coin on getting a Benelli Super Black Eagle II because it seems to fit me better (based solely on sight picture and coming up to the shoulder in the shop, I have yet to fire one yet and see how the recoil compares to the gas autos..I know it will be more but the question is how much more..only time will tell). I also like the humpback/flat top on the SBE II as it helps me sight for some reason...I was thinking the humpback on the Silver may do the same for me at almost half the cost....

I bought a Silver in the fall as a back up to my Extrema, and I absolutly love it. Almost bought a Gold but the only difference is there's no speed loading or magazine cut-off. In my opinion it is not worth the $400-$600 difference.

I got it in 3.5" mossy oak new shadowgrass and the first thing i did was put a bunch of light loads through it to see how well it cycled. Even with 7/8oz target loads, I didn't have a single jam. I hunt alot of waterfowl and I ended up using it for basically the rest of the season with not a single problem. I put approx 2 flats of hunting loads through the silver (all 3" and 3.5") and I loved it.

I fully recommend it over the gold. PM me for any more questions.

Thanks- Brent
