browning silver?

Looking at buying a browning silver stalker. Just wondering if any one has tried one and what they think about it. Only want to spend around $1000 on my first semi-auto shotgun. thanks

I too am looking for my first semi. I used a buddy's silver hunter in a trap shoot last week and fell in love with it. Beautiful gun and hardly any recoil. After a week of contemplating,feeling them both out at the gun shop and talking to shop owner I may go with the maxus in a camo becuase it fit me better and I'd probably cry if I scratched up that silver hunter while turkey or goose hunting. Only negative comment I've heard on the silver is the stocks have been cracking, but only on the wood rifled slug gun version.

I own a silver and absolutely love it no issues, fits like a tailored suit and with its wood stocks looks classic in the duck blind.
