It was a hit in the club house, the action is very tight, I kept missing the ejected hulls because it took some force to open.
It shoots really well, just not used to it, went 18/25 on the first, and 24/25 on the second.
I did take someone out on the Annie Oakley, but at the 22 yard line, I think I should have switched to the top barrel.

Yesterday I bought a Beretta 694 as my Citori was beating my face up, so I'll be playing with that on Christmas eve.

It is a very wide rib, probably 3/4 of an inch, maybe a little more.
The bottom of the receiver says Lightning over Browning.

As I thought you have a Lightning Grade Broadway Trap. The Lightning Grade was named such as at the factory metal was hand filed from the barrels and receiver to reduce the overall weight by 8oz so the gun weighs a half pound less than the standard grade and metal was removed in specific areas to improve balance. And that is the forend the gun came with, it has not been swapped. The end bead on my Lightning had yellowed over time because it was real ivory but a quick buff on a polishing wheel after removing it brightened it up again.
You have a great gun there. Wish I'd never sold mine.

The forend is wild, someone else at the club had a BT99 with the beaver tail and I had never noticed it before.

I'll have to check the bead, I didn't notice if it was painted or not.
 
1969 grade 1, broadway trap, large skeet forend…also a salt gun, quite visible above the serial number where the wood meets the top tang and possibly along the head of the stock…. could have been cleaned up once already
Gun appears to be original, will make a great shooter

The squared fore end and mid bead almost suredly makes it a target gun and it has a Broadway rib to boot so definitely a target gun. What chokes marked on the left side of the barrels at the breech? Also looks like the comb might have been sanded down and refinished by the color change but all in all you got a really good deal if the gun is mechanically sound.

There has been a 20 ga superposed 28” bbl skt & skt for sale awhile at 1850$ still for sale
 
Thats a good price on a 20 gauge, they usually bring quite a bit more money than 12 gauge Superposed Browning's do. Good Broadways around here are usually in that $1400 to $1800 range. There's 3, 20 gauge Supers on the EE right now for a lot more money than that but they're 26 inch guns and they aren't selling.
