I have some Tbolt questions and was hoping you guys would be able to offer some insight. I was just offered a left handed T2. I have 12 hours to decide if the novelty of a unique 32 year old rimfire should detract me from my dream of someday owning a Kimber. Specifically I was wondering what is a fair price for one in the good to very good category. This one seems to have a very nice stock but I thought I read somewhere that these guns had salt water stocks or something and were prone to warping? I was also wondering if I do go ahead and purchase it does anyone have advise for rings and are additional mags available? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Hi Jed
By taking the action out of the stock it will tell you right away, whether you have a salt cured stock or not
(no rust no salt). Price would be from $450 to $650 depending on condition. Magazines are hard to get, but are available at times, I bought one here on CGN, not too long ago, for $49. In addition, the scope rings used on these guns are standard .22 rings 3/8” grooves.
I own several T-Bolts, and if you need more info let me know.

Mags come up at the gun shows, I've picked up a couple of spares reasonable. But asking price seems to be up around $50.

In theory, a left hand T-bolt is in the $600 to $700 range - take a look at US prices. After all, standard right hand ones are around $500. But in practice, mine in nice condition with factory rear sight was $325. I am hoping to have the money to buy one I know of for $350 with 2 extra mags.
