Browning t-bolt

Browning T-Bolt

I bought a new one about 3 - 4 yrs ago ,Target/Varmit, I love it . Mine loves RGBs,I have it zeroed in at about 35yds,and it makes one ragged hole with a full mag.I figure any rifle that will shoot bulk ammo that good is a keeper. I use it for squirrel hunting mainly.
It is also a great looking rifle.

Looky you must have a sensative trigger finger.Iam sure, either you ,or it, will loosen up!They are nice guns, for a Browning.

I can't justify spending what they go for on a rifle with a plastic trigger guard.

The old Belgian ones are nice, as long as you avoid the ones with salt wood.

Even the trigger felt like plastic on the ones I looked at...the guard is definitely plastic but it's not the end of the world these days.

I have one of the older Belgian ones from about 1964-5. It is the most accurate .22 I have ever seen. The T-bolt is extremely quick for followup shots.

My father bought one of the varmint model in 22mg... Pleasant to shoot, seems accurate enough...

Personally, I much rather the classic sporter.

The only thing that is keeping from buying one, is the stupid price on their magazines. There's no way I'm paying $60 for spare magazines.

I love it. Strange - I have no particular love for Browning, and yet most of my favourite rimfires just happen to be brownings - the BL-22, the Buckmark Carbine, and the T-bolt. I suppose that means I should acquire an a-bolt 22 one of these days soon, too then

Like the varmint with synthetic stock well enough (price includes spare mag in the stock). For same money the CZ453 is far more substantial, more accurate, more metal. However, the T-Bolt has a straight pull bolt, better mounts, and is lighter. Rank it below CZ453 Varmint and T/C R55 and above custom 10/22s, Marlin 60, CZ452 Lux.

when i was in the market got my 22wmr. i got to play around with the T-bolt for a while. i could not get over the amount of plastic. the mag, sparemag holder, trigger gaurd, incert for mag, everything was plastic. then the stright pull bolt. not matter how many times i cycled it it didnt feel right for me. the final kicker was the price. i ended up buying a cz452 and very happy.

not saying the T-bolt is a bad gun. just not the gun for me.

T-bolt is pricey as are the mags but the sporter model is an absolute joy to handle and look at. It shoots bug holes off the bench with at least 4 different kinds of ammo inclouding the bulk stuff. After they are broken-in the speed of fire is amazing.

you will either really like the rifle or will hate it--all I can say is I won't be giving mine up any time soon.

ymmv.

I grew up with and still have a Brno 21H with the set triggers.
Yes, I am partial to nice triggers.
If one is thinking about the gall darn trigger, then the target is
suffering.
Never been a club foot either.

Finally found a Belgian T1 last fall. Put a Vortex Diamondback with AO on and it's deadnutz accurate. I don't understand all the hype about spare mags for a bolt gun, mine has a 5 shot like my old Anschutz, shoot a couple, flip in a couple, you're not hunting lions. It's more about quality than quantity. For semi auto stuff I have a Buckmark rifle and a Ruger /Thompson I'm building.
