Hay fellas/girls (Politically correct),
I'm in the market for a new or new to me lightweight rifle. Now I don't want to spend a bunch of $ on a rifle that I'll use for maybe a week or so a year. I'm getting on and was looking for a light rifle that I would use on deer and the occasional moose. I must explane that I'm a shotgunner and I just traded my 7mm-08 Kimber 84 for a 47E Merkel. My mind can justify a $3000 ++ shotgun but not a $2000 rifle and scope that sits in the safe for 11 months a year.
I've narrowed my choices down to The T3 (7mm-08, .280 or 6.6x55) and the Browning Xbolt (7mm-08 or .280). I have handeled the T3 -- liked it -- found it a tad front heave (not a bad thing). Have not had a chance to fondel a X-Bolt yet.
Anyone compared the two?
Cheers, John
