Browning X Bolt

Has anyone seen or handled one of the new Browning X Bolt's yet? Are they better than the A Bolt's?

Looks to me like they have a plastic trigger gaurd, plastic trigger and plastic magazine. I don't call that an improvment over the A bolt.

They have made the magazine much less complicated......you take a stripper clip and use it to charge the magazine, insert the magazine into the hanging floorplate, close floorplate, and you're ready to rock and roll!

I am being facetious, only Browning could make a magazine that combines the worst things of a magazine with the ackwardness of a hinged floor plate, hold it together with some cheapo pressed steel clip and then sell it to the public. Must drive truck hunters crazy!

YES it does!! I had an A-bolt it was a pretty gun and smooth a silk but not terribly accurate and a pain in the ass with the magazine.

I have 2 Tikka T3s now and love them.

With the addition of all of the plastic, the X-Bolt should be a $700 gun MAX

The hinged floor plate sucks. I've owned one with a hinged plate, it's not that big a deal, but it slows you down, and is just one more thing to fail/go wrong.

I can see it now. The new flagships at the front of the line: The Remington 770 and the Browning Xbolt. I can only imagine what their children will look like...

I like the detatchable flush mount rotary mag.Great Idea.

Mag or top loader. That is the way to go when hunting. The browning mag is just a stupid disigne
