Browning X Bolt

A little harsh,but I respect your opinion.I personally like the feel,looks,quality and weight etc.When it came out it got great reviews and awards.I'm after one still,but rojamb21 I hear ya.

Litle privacy but in my life time I personally shot almost all kind of home made ,garage made ,school projects shot guns , home drilled barrels, plumbing pipe black powders, toy mechanism triggers , out of expired barrels, sling shot pistols and you name ,I came across all sort of firearms in my thirty plus years addiction,__ And I never felt sorry for try out some thing new or that could be improved THINGS, and I regret only Browning , although I own two bows and a buckmark pistol and all sort of merchantize from Browning but A-Bolt ( brand new) , it was terrible and still feel sorry that I fell for what was beng advertised and promoted everywhere.But even it's your choice,anyway
 
I bought the X-bolt today in 270. I really like this gun, great trigger without adjusting, smoothe bolt (as good as the 3 lite),new flush mounted mag that is shaped to the stock contours. Dura touch rubberized stock will be great in wet snowy weather. Put out of the box T3 and the X-bolt 270's up against each other at the range both with Fed premium 130 grn Sierra Gamekings ---- I would say a tie. Both shot well under 1" -- couldn't see much difference. The Browning is about 6 oz heavier but is better balanced for carrying while I found the Tikka a tad front heavy. Anyway time will tell.

I have a 300wsm a-bolt medalion and love it. It has a muzzle jump that you notice when shooting from the bench but while hunting its not bad. Never had any problems with it in the cold or wet conditions eather.

Ya, I was very suprised that the X-bolt has very little muzzle jump. everything just seemed to come straight back and was managed nicely by their new supersoft recoil pad,
