Anyone have any experience with these? How do you like it or not?
I never fired a Browning center-fire but I heard as general they are a hard kicking firearms (compare to other brands in same caliber). Is this true?

Thanks Jozsef

I have a Browning X-bolt medallion in 325wsm (for sale on the exchange) and it is mild compared to my old A-bolt II stainless steel stalker 325wsm. The butt pad on the x-bolt is softer and designed to push the muzzle down when fired eliminating muzzle jump. I can shoot it all day where as with my a-bolt I was done after 10 shots.

I also have an Xbolt in .325wsm in a Stainless Stalker and I love it. Kick is less than my fathers remington .270 and its as smooth as silk and I could fire it all day if I wanted like mentioned above. My favorite part of the gun other than the amazing stock is the saftey and the bolt release that will allow you to open the bolt with the saftey still on.

Got one in 300 wsm and the recoil isn't to bad, those recoil pad are quite good. The gun is very accurate and it handle really good. They also went down in price this year, some place sell the hunter version for under 750$.

i have 2 in 30-06 and i love them my wife shoots one and i shoot one and there are no recoil issues at all. the only complaint i have is that noone makes a after market trigger for them other then that they are a great amazing rifle

I bought a 7mm rem mag white gold earlier this summer and love it. Good groups with Federal 160 grain Partitions, Hornady Superformance not so much. I can't wait until next month when I can show my new Browning to Mr. Moose.

Just bought 1 in 25-06. Loves barnes 100 ttsx (all I have tried so far). It is the stainless stalker. Handles great. Good feel to stock. Great recoil pad. And best of all, its light enough to carry all day.

Browning X bolt

I 've got the Browning X - Bolt in stainless synthetic ( carbon ) stock in .308 Win

It very sweet to shoot .... just about identical with my Savage 11 in .243. Win

The recoil pad has been redesigned and soft touch grips make a difference in felt recoil

I almost bought the same gun in the Medallion wood but chose the stainless instead ...no regrets

I did get the medallion wood in 270 wsm.It is very accurate, but I have a hard time getting used to a boltgun. To many years using levers..

Ok so here's my fluke group from Thurs. at the range sighting in my new load for my X-bolt in 300 wsm using a IMR 4350, and a 168g ttsx. Range was 200m shot off my bulls bag, measures 1/4" so that should be about 1/8moa by my math :D

Didn't duplicate it, but no groups went over 1/2 moa at 200m although I opened her up at 300m, but was standing and resting on sheet of plywood.

Rifle is the plain jane stalker with a VX-III 2.5-8 mounted in the factory talleys.

I don't know what to think of the X bolt. I have an A bolt stainless 7wsm and after handling it and then a X bolt-I think I prefer the look and the feel of the A bolt better. I see X bolts on the exchange pretty frequently but not as many A bolts-wonder why that is?

Have stainless stalker in 300WSM. Choose it over Kimber 8400M as reputed to be more reliable, more accurate, and small weight difference for $600 price difference (that money went to better backpack and stove instead).

It is fairly light and recoil is very manageable, was very pleasantly surprised how little recoil for size & cartridge. Detachable mag. Bolt locks and can keep safety on when cycle, slight angle to knob. Trigger adjustable but have not bothered, works the way I want, crisp. Is accurate. Would choose it over A-Bolt and Kimber again.

Would I choose it over Icon Weathershield - tough call, the X-bolt is a fair bit lighter. Have both (Icon .308 and X-Bolt 300WSM) and wont be selling either.
