Browning X Question

Very happy with my X-Bolt .243 Medallion. Shoots straight. Looks great. Smooth action. Sweet trigger. The bolt button is useful, but you can just ignore it if you wish.

I have not heard anything negative about them. I wonder why there are a bunch for sale in EE? Is there something I have not heard about? Or, do people just like trying out and then flipping their rifles?

I've been wondering about the X-Bolt.

Traditionally I have never likes the A-bolts which I found relatively expensive but the deal breaker for me was the Magazine mechanism. I've read from owners that they are shooters and many people downright insist that the magazine set up is brilliant and the best of both worlds. They pointed out how a traditional box mag is easily lost afield leaving your rifle a single shot, That the A-bolt fed very well because of the design, and that many of the box mags available were (gag) plastic.

It always seemed to me that losing a mag is certainly possible but it seemed much more likely it would occur because it wasn't there when one removed it from the safe, rather than losing it because one bumped it in the field ... and this seemed at least as likely and in my opinion more of a potential oversight with the A-bolt design but that's neither here no there. As far as being relatively expensive, my thoughts were based on the market a few years ago where one could almost get 2 tikka for the price of an A-bolt ... that certainly isn't the case now.

So it seems now that Browning has addressed my issues, and a micro in 243 looks like a great compact light package that generally speaking will shoot.

I have a couple of questions.

1) How does the X-bolt feed from the top with the mag attached? Or more specifically must one remove the mag to load the rifle reliably?

and

2) Will all the A-Bolt fans that stated all the comparative differences on boards such as this buy an X-Bolt, or do they have to take all the Browning Decals and bumper stickers off their Trucks?
